LPMP Issues Grant to JobTrain

JobTrain has been awarded a $30,000 grant in support of Digital Literacy courses offerings. Of importance to LPMP was to fund a program that targets literacy in digital applications where tradesmen and small service-based businesses use the knowledge for creating documents essential to their operations such as billing and quote estimates. In addition, one’s desire to improve computer literacy and social media skills.


Outreach within Menlo Park will be increased with local organizations, schools, companies and social media posts. 85% of JobTrain’s clients proceed with earning a JobTrain Certificate of Completion.

JobTrain has reported demand for it’s Digital Literacy classes has increased during the pandemic due to those in the community who are most vulnerable to unemployment. Through LPMP’s support, classes are offered at no cost. LPMP looks forward to hearing about the students attending these courses in the upcoming year and progress.
